Grapevine Community Church developed from a house church in 1995 and consists of people from a wide range
of differing backgrounds. God always comes first and all that we do should be in response to our love for Him.
Every church is different and no church
is perfect, so why not take some time to get to know other people at Grapevine? Make some friends, see how the church operates,
and consider whether you like it. You are not under any pressure at all.
Vision - Looking
forward
The vision for Grapevine developed
as a result of prayer, submission to God, and guidance received by prophecies. We believe that our mission can be summarised
by following:
To love God,
to love each other, to love others enough to tell what Jesus has done
We see the vision of the Church to
show people the love of Christ and encourage them to become his, so they in turn can then minister to more people.
Our vision is summarised as:
New
start, new love, new life.
Values
- Making it happen
We want to see a church where all these
things happen:
Everyone is given the opportunity to
make a new start
People are encouraged to seek wholehearted
commitment to Jesus Christ
Love and encouragement are shown at
all times to all people
People are built up, not knocked down
All are welcomed and can find forgiveness,
love, acceptance and fellowship
God’s love is demonstrated in
real, practical ways
People love God first and their neighbour
as themselves
People are equipped to minister to
others and lead them to Christ
Gifts from God are used for God’s
purposes
Members are developed into spiritual
maturity and ministry through appropriate training
People are encouraged to worship
Members seek holiness before God
The importance of prayer is recognised
and practised
The community is served and encouraged
by the work of the church
Social concern is supported and encouraged
Signs of the outpouring of the Holy
Spirit are visible
Access to the building is available
whenever possible
Matthew 28:18-20 “Jesus came and told his disciples,
‘I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing
them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have
given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”
