Growing Together

Vision

We see the mission of Grapevine as showing everyone the love of Christ and encouraging them to become his, so they in turn can minister to others. We believe in a God of second chances – all of us can have a new start, new love, new life. If we love God, then it will show in our relationships with the people we meet. Putting others first and working hard to encourage each other is the only way. To love God, to love each other, to love others enough to tell what Jesus has done.

So if you are feeling on the margin of things, or think you won’t be accepted, try us. Jesus includes everyone who searches for him, and those who don’t. It’s not about gender, sexuality, culture, background, ability or finances – it’s about you!

Family

Grapevine is a family church with a wide range of ages. this brings real life and dynamism to the place.

We are in the business of building families and making those relationships strong. Our aim is always to support one another and use the gifts God has given us to help those we meet and to build our own personal faith.

Grapevine is informal, sometimes fluid and not necessarily always slick, but it’s a great place to belong. We don’t usually start on time, but who said worship only begins when we sing a song? This may be the family you’ve been looking for.

When I raised my hands to pray I noticed how powerfully God touched me, his presence was intense.

Mike

Grapevine is a place where I can share laughter and tears and always find a hug or a smile to comfort me.

Building Faith

To watch somebody grow, mature and develop their faith is truly inspiring and wonderful. All members of Grapevine are tasked with making every effort to build their own personal faith and encourage others as well. We strive to provide passionate preaching and teaching at every worship service and we will do everything we can to help you grow and know Jesus more intimately. The weekly home groups are great for making friendships and discussing teaching in an informal, relaxed way. Teaching courses such as Alpha, Freedom in Christ, and The Marriage Course are also available to all.

We Believe

This is our statement of faith – what we believe.

  • There is one true God who exists in three distinct but equal persons, The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
  • All people are created in the image of God and can be born again, forgiven, and restored in relationship with God.
  • Jesus Christ died for us as an offering of love, to save us from our mistakes, failures and sins. He was raised again and will return.
  • Salvation is entirely a work of God’s grace and cannot be earned or deserved.
  • The baptism of believers is by immersion in water.
  • The baptism of the Holy Spirit is for believers, with signs following.
  • The gifts of the Holy Spirit are for the edification, exhortation and comfort of the Church, which is the body of Christ.
  • The church is a priesthood of believers with Christ as the Head.
  • The taking of communion is part of worship.
  • The Bible is the inspired word of God. It should be read seriously and interpreted through the life and death of Jesus.
  • The Church is to be actively involved in bringing the help, hope, and healing of Jesus Christ to everyone through worship, witness and action.
  • Tithes and offerings are part of our love response to God.
